Making THE LAST FRONTIER, Part Seven

1. I have no real news.

2. Except to say that it’s so good to be home. We’re taking the next few days off, and we’ll start up in earnest on Monday.

3. Also, this is an old Ben Shive song that I added a few lines to. He wrote it years ago, before he had children (I think), and I’ve always loved it. The Last Frontier has several family songs on it, so it was the perfect chance to record it. Well done, Benjamin.

As a singer-songwriter and recording artist, Andrew has released more than ten records over the past fifteen years. His music has earned him a reputation for writing songs that connect with his listeners in ways equally powerful, poetic, and intimate. He has also followed his gifts into the realm of publishing. His books include the four volumes of the award-winning Wingfeather Saga.

Does Gabe know he’s wearing the “unnecessary scarf” in all these videos? I always knew he was the cool one in the group.

    Awesome drum part btw

There’s something to be said for the makings of a guitar which can sound bell-bright as an Irish tenor while it’s playing in Vimeo sound over crappy laptop speakers.

    AP,
Thanks for the extra effort to write each day about the making of the album. I know you must be tired and tempted to just go to bed, but it was really great seeing what you guys were up to. We’re praying for you all from here in China as you complete the project.
