Song of the Day: Jill Phillips

By

Do you ever listen to a record and think, Wow, why doesn’t everyone know about this? That’s what comes to mind when I listen to Jill Phillips’ In This Hour album. It’s crazy good. Here’s one of the ten reasons why.

“Find The Way”
by Jill Phillips

Pete Peterson is the author of the Revolutionary War adventure The Fiddler’s Gun and its sequel Fiddler’s Green. Among the many strange things he’s been in life are the following: U.S Marine air traffic controller, television editor, art teacher and boatwright at the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch, and progenitor of the mysterious Budge-Nuzzard. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Jennifer, where he's the Executive Director of the Rabbit Room and Managing Editor of Rabbit Room Press.

As a stay-at-home mom who often gets bogged down by the everyday, mundane stuff of life, I have been so encouraged by this album. “In This Hour” and “Show Up” are so full of truth for me!

Love this one, Jill! So true to life and important. Your point of view, as a wife and a mom, is one we don’t hear enough of in contemporary Christian music. Glad you’re brave enough to share it with us. You’re the coolest!!

On another note, sometimes songs of the day have lyrics and sometimes not. Is there a reason for that?

Pete, I ask that question every time I hear Jill sing. I try to spread the word whenever I can.
