Table Talk: Randall Goodgame (with Buddy Greene)

By

Randall Goodgame has a new Slugs and Bugs record in the works and it’s going in a whole new direction. We sat down with him to hear what he had to say, and before we knew what was happening, Buddy Greene walked in the door and kicked up a hootenanny.

“I can be irreverent around it.” Ha!

I love that this came about from wanting to help your own kids. And I love how excited you are about it, Randall!

WE are so excited about this. Yahoo!

This is gonna be big, REALLY BIG! We had Donut Man and Steve Green (Hide ‘Em in Your Heart) for our kids, but haven’t seen anything like them since…until now! Christian parents and homeschool families everywhere will eat up those Slugs and Bugs (ew) Scripture songs. Fire up that Kickstarter!

Thanks y’all. Can’t wait to hear it myself. And Buddy will definitely reprise his role as harmonica wizard on this song when we record. I’m not sure anyone else could holler out “Third John!” with quite the same backwoods gravitas.

Buddy Greene is awesome. We caught the tour he did with Ron Block last fall. Wow! Looking forward to seeing this and the other tunes Goodgame will pull out for us.

what a fun little video this is! 🙂 I’m super excited to hear all the songs. I’m excited for the African children’s choir. I’m just E-X-C-I-T-E-D!!!!!!

LOVE the harmonica!! That’s awesome. I need to get my husband to learn that on his harmonica. what a fun little tune!

thank you sooo much for sharing that with all of us! 🙂

We love Slugs & Bugs and can’t wait to hear the new album! I was pumped to hear that Sally Lloyd-Jones will be part of the project, too. She’s the best!

Loving this! Can’t wait to have it in our hands (and cd players). It’ll be a great gift for other parents too!

What fun! We can’t wait for this! My 3-year-old won’t listen to anything but Slugs & Bugs in the van—and, to be honest, I don’t mind a bit. 🙂

Randall, we are eagerly anticipating this record. It seems that God has gifted you (and other Rabbit Roomers) with the ability to write songs as easily as the rest of us are able to breathe.
