Once upon a time, slugs and bugs weren’t capitalized and Randall Goodgame was a solo artist with sweet, irresistible releases like his Bluebird EP. He’s found a home writing hilarious and compelling songs for children and families these days, but we still enjoy going back a few years to listen to Randall-the-serious-songwriter now and then. If you’ve never heard Randall’s work, then this title track from Bluebird will serve as a perfect entry point.

@peteBluebird is one of my all-time favorite EPs. A delightful little gem.

This song is a total earworm and gets stuck in my head for days any time anyone even mentions it. And I don’t mind that at all. 🙂

What David and Laura said. It’s perfect for driving down long country roads. Just watch your speed.

Aw, yay! Thanks for the song!

Been said, but still true – This is one of my all-time favorite songs, from one of my all-time favorite musicians! I owe J. Gray big time for recommending him to me.

Thanks all of you. And thanks Matt, for your long memory.

My family love this song and the EP, which we refer to as Bloover because that was how my (*sigh*, then little) daughter pronounced it. “Daddy, play Bloover!”
In addition to the title track, I really enjoy “All These Years” and “Jubilee”. Love “California” and this line gets me every time: “Filled with love only to deny it/The girls who went away they came back quiet”.

“All the Years” is the song that I could listen to on repeat for 3hrs and still want more.

Saw RG live at 12th and Porter when he released this EP. Fell in love.

LOVE me some pre-Slugs and Bugs RG. We were fans back in the day!
