This is beautiful. It resonates with what I have been reading recently in The Practice of the Presence of God: that every task we do can be done for and with the love of God. Finding the beauty and poetry of code is a wonderful way of participating in God’s good work through your own work.

Hi, I’m Elise, a mom of four from Washington state. I have loved many poems over the years. Studying English in college I loved the metaphysical poets: Donne, Herbert, Vaughan, Traherne. T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets are also among my favorites, as they helped me through a time of grief and gave me hope that sorrow could be turned to beauty.
