    Less than two weeks til November!

    I’m signed up and (maybe?) ready to go. I’ve been (as CSL would say) “with book” for a little over 6 months now. Only prep/background/outline stuff written down. I’ve purposefully been letting things simmer in order to start Nov 1st and I’m finding that the waiting has been pleasantly surprising. Instead of…[Read more]

    @pete

    I deleted this group, but for some reason it’s still showing up. I no longer have the admin abilities as I did before for this group. I’m not sure how to kill this sucker.

    In Chapter 3 Glyer introduces us to the term and concept “Resonator”. I don’t have the book on me now, but the idea is that a resonator is someone who isn’t just a sounding board, or a technical critic, but it is someone who takes an <em style=”box-sizing: border-box;”>active interest in your art, both in private and in public.

    Have you begun reading Bandersnatch by Hutchmoot 2016 Keynote Speaker, Diana Pavlac Glyer and want to chinwag about it? Here’s the place to do it.

    I’m pretty much blown away with almost everything Regina Spektor writes.

    I figure lyrics work like anything else that grows. Sometimes we’re struck the instant it hits us, but sometimes a lyric you’ve heard over and over until it has faded into the background sneaks up on you one day.

    In her song “Us” the chorus goes:

    “We’re living in a den of…[Read more]

    Hello fellow Midwest Rabbits,

    I just learned that John Garth (Tolkien scholar w/emphasis on Tolkien and WWI) will be coming to Kansas City at the National World War I Museum on Saturday, July 16th. Here’s a blurb from the museum’s site:

    <span style=”padding-top: 0px; color: #666a73; font-family: ‘Benton Sans’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica,…

    Hi five to all my fellow INFPs!

    If we’re talking about characters that I want to be, well then give me a whip and a hat because Indiana Jones.

    If we’re talking about characters who I’m like it’s probably closer to Kermit the Frog.

    I also read somewhere that Gollum is an INFP…so there’s that.

    I know it’s only June, but I’ve been considering participating in the next National Novel Writing Month (which is in November). I only discovered it last year and was intrigued by the short burst of focus it offers. (50,000 words from Nov 1 to 31st.)

    I’ve been writing songs for as long as I can remember. It’s kind of just there and hasn’t gone…[Read more]
