@bethanysanders0@amy-creighton@evergreenVery strange–I’ll double check to make sure you’re all on the email list. Week 3 of the reading group was postponed because our instructor Jonathan had COVID. We’ll resume this Monday, January 11, and have the next Zoom chat on Thursday.

Meg, I’ve never made that personal connection between the care Niggle took over each leaf and the individual care God has for me–what a lovely thought. Thanks for being brave and going first, Renee! 🙂 I’ve found that many people have just never thought about how much of our lives involve our imaginations! And yet you’re exactly right–that ability to ask, “What if?” and to picture possibilities is behind all our moral decisions. George MacDonald wrote about this–and how cultivating a…[Read more]

Anne, yes, that’s a great point about the resurrection and moving beyond merely rational doctrine! And to me it’s even more excitinf to realize that the resurrection isn’t the *end* of the story but the *beginning* of the Real Story which have only just begun to glimpse.

Men have responded to me with contempt or anger while women have responded with strong disapproval and avoidance. Although I could leave the church with those attitudes, I cannot leave my…[Read more]

It is presented as a theological belief to assent to intellectually rather than permeating and transforming the entir…[Read more]
